More stars.....

I finished another block yesterday, now it's only 14 left:-) This is a really fun block to do! And I am so happy to say that I did not go shopping for these fabrics, they are all in my stash! And some of them did just lay there, ready to use, precut a long time ago! FUN!

Another "star-project" I have going on, is the Orion Star quilt. It is a while since I started on it, but I will get on with it soon again... I just have not decided witch of the colors, lights/darks or medium/darks I want to do.

I guess I'll have to try both, I cannot make up my mind... All I know, is that I love the japanese fabrics.

I see stars.....

This weekend I did look through some of my patterns, and I found the pattern "Cinnamon Stars" by Moda. It is a beautiful quilt, and I have so many lovely fabrics to use in a quilt like this, so I just started cutting, and this is what I came up with:

Block #1 (of 17)

Block #2

The days go by so fast, and it is a long time since I where in Blogland...
I haven't been sewing so much, I have been knitting a lot instead. Just had to try something else for a bit. I have been knitting "Selbusokker". It is an old tradition of knitting, and I have wanted to try it for ages. If some of you know of patterns of magazines with similar patterns, please let me know:-) Now I have tried it, and I love doing it!!

This is one of the pairs of socks I did make:
Some of the projects I finished before Christmas, was a couple of toilet paper holders, and some table runners.
I am a big fan of the Norwegian designer AnnAKa, and I love sewing things with her patterns.

Christmas soon...

The Christmas is coming soon, and I have been in Holiday-mood lately. I love doing Christmas projects, and I have several of them going. A lot of work has to be done, but i guess I'll be able to get all of my projects done in time.
Today I received a package in my mailbox. It was an early Christmas gift from my Facebook-friend, Angela from Canada. She is a lovely Lady, and a talented quilter, too.
I became so happy when I opened the package! Such a nice surprise !! She sent me some postcards with pictures from her favourite artist, postcards from her town, a cool pattern with chicks (Chicken soup), and a lovely tin box with a real treasure. A lot of fabric squares in the loveliest fabrics!! I really look forward to figure out what to sew of them!!!

Something new, again....

This weekend I have been starting on something new, again. I like to have several projects going on, or else I get bored....
Saturday, I went downtown shopping at Quiltegården. This is what I ended up with:

I bought some of the newest DMC's Siw just brought in to her shop, and they are gorgeous!
While I'm waiting for Siw to have "Leanne's House" in, I thought I should start on an other stitchery. I guess I will be making two of these, and make a table runner of them with Japanese fabrics. Hope to get it done within November....

HAPPY SEWING TO YOU ALL!!

Happy Halloween

The kids have been on the usual round with "trick or treat" tonight, and so many kids have been ringing the doorbell at our house, for a bit of candy or three. Mine where out for half an hour, and they were done.

Yesterday I found a lovely quilt with a lot of stars, on my search for inspiration on the Internet. I started cutting fabrics I bought almost half a year ago. Lots of roses is my choice :-)

A mess, at this point.... But I think it will be nice when it's done.
I haven't sewn so many of the pieces together yet, but it will not take long when I just know how I want it.
I like taking photos while I'm doing the puzzle. It is easier to see if things fit or not when you can look at it from a distance.
I really look forward to get it done. Then I have to figure out how to quilt it! I have not been thinking about that yet:-)

I have not sewn so much this weekend, but I did start on some Christmas gifts. They are not done yet, but I hope to finish them next weekend. I am a big fan of AnnAKa's patterns. And a little while ago, I finished these:

They where so much fun to do, so I have sewn several of them in different colors. I also made a table runner to make a kitchen set to give away for Christmas.

This is one of my latest projects. I had so much fun making these, so I guess I will be making a few more of them, in different colors.
