It's been ages since my last blog post, and I guess it's about time to join Blogland again. Just needed a break.
I have been lurking around in Blogland now and then, but couldn't keep up with the blogs I follow. I will leave comments as I lurk around again :o)
Haven't been in my sewing room much since my last blog post, so I have nothing finished to show you. Today I finally had the urge to play with some fabrics again. It felt so good!!! Hopefully my sewing mojo is back again!!!
I should have been working on some of my WISP's, but decided to start on TWO new quilts. Yep...TWO. I finished my oldest heartie's quilt last year, and my two youngest hearties have none... so I just felt it was about time I made a quilt for them too :o)
I'm making the same quilt like I made for my oldest. I just love how fast the block pile grows, and I love the scrappy look on it. If you want to see what the first quilt looks like, you can see it here.
It's the "Comfort quilt" by Leanne Beasley. I have loved this quilt since I first saw the sneak peek a long time ago :o)
This is the fabrics I've cut and pieced so far:
One of the reasons I was pretty occupied in May, was because of my two youngest hearties' big event. We celebrated their Confirmation 12th of May, and it was such a perfect day! Can't figure out how they could grow up so fast! My three boys are all such handsome young men, and I'm so proud of them!
The boys are enjoying their Summer Holidays, and I'm having my second week off work too. The weather haven't been anything like Summer, but we had sun today. Finally!!!
I will get back to my piecing and cutting later tonight, and hope to finish up a nice pile of blocks. Maybe there will be a new blog post soon again ;o)
