Progress and some new stuff :o)

I forgot to take a photo of the first top I made, but this is the second one. It's already quilted, and I'm almost done with the binding and I will add a photo of it when it's finished :-) Hope to finish quilting the other top really soon... :-) This photo is taken with my phone, so it's not so good...

I couldn't resist starting a new project after working very hard with the quilts for my two youngest hearties. Felt like making something "fresh". In my previous post I did show you a photo of some unfinished blocks, and this is the result:

I really love the fresh colors, and now I can play with my longarm on it :o) Been thinking about how I want to quilt it, but not sure yet. Will keep playing with pencil and paper a bit more before I really make up my mind. It will be a wall quilt, so I will try to do some custom quilting.

Speaking of pencils.... I got a package of pencils in the mail yesterday. Many pencils... in many colors :-)
And along with the pencils where textile medium and some gorgeous perle thread...
I just couldn't resist asking  Helen Stubbings at Hugs'n Kisses to make me a kit with what I needed, to play with the fun method she taught us when she and Gail where here in April. The pattern is from Helen Stubbing's book called "Faux Appliquè". This will be a table runner in the end :o)

I have finished the Hugs'n Kisses project I started when I attended the class in April, but it still needs a frame so I can hang it on my wall... Guess a trip to IKEA is about to be real soon :-)

I haven't spent much time here in Blogland lately, but I do try to leave a comment when I visit. Guess during the Autumn and Winter ahead will leave more time for blogging and reading blogs. I find it very inspiring to read your blogs, and hopefully... you'll get some inspiration back from visiting me :-)
