<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Happy New Year to you all! </span><br />
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Hope you've had a nice start on the new year, and I guess I'm not the only one excited to have a new year to look forward to enjoy. There will be upphills and downhills this year too, but I'm pretty sure it will be mostly nice moments and good days ahead.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">We had a quiet celebration of the new year, since our two furballs are not happy at all about the fireworks and noise. We had a lovely dinner with our two youngest boys, DIL and a friend of them. Turkey as always, and some nice desserts. The young ones went off to a party, and me and Hubby stayed home keeping the furballs safe and calm. I enjoyed some hand sewing while we waited to pick up the youngsters late last night, and got a few stitches done on a new quilt I'm working on. I forgot to take a photo of it before writing this post, so I will share photos of it in my next post.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">I've made some progress this morning on my Hexagon Flower quilt, and I'm happy it's almost a finished top, and I can't wait to hand quilt this one! I really love the wowen Japanese fabrics so much, and it's coming along so nicely</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Earlier this winter I also finally got started on the Stonefields quilt designed by Susan Smith. I bought a few new reproduction fabrics for this quilt, and it's more than a year ago I got the pattern from a lovely quilting friend. I hope my version will be just as beautiful as hers, and this is the perfect long term project to work on . I have finished more than 50 hexie flowers for the border as well, but forgot to get a shot of them. This quilt is huge, and lots of blocks to make, but I know I will enjoy every minute of it :-) </span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">I must admit that 2019 had some really great moments when it comes to photography, and I attended two photo tours. I have to pinch myself to believe it, because it was almost surreal, since I'm not a traveller at all! One trip to Scotland, which I wrote about in my previous post, and one to Northern Ireland in September. I enjoyed the long drive from Dublin to the beautiful place we stayed at. The Ballylinny Holiday Cottages in Bushmills was cozy and nice, and this is the view from the cottage:</span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">We visited a lot of amazing places, though I haven't edited all my shots yet.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Some of the ones I got to edit is these two from the Dark Hedges, which is famous because of the Game Of Thrones series. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">We arrived when it was pretty dark early in the morning, so we could get ready for the sunrise. It was so amazing to see this beautiful tree lane as the sun came up! Made the trees glow beautifully, and the autumn colors that popped as the light hit the leaves and branches. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">We met a few tourists when we were about to finish up at this location, and one of them was a lovely lady in a beautiful white dress. Our tour guide Bernard asked if she could walk down the lane for us for some shots. She looked so beatiful when she walked down the road, and her dress lit up when it got hit by the rays of sunlight between the trees. The most magical moment I've ever experienced for sure! She looked just like a forest spirit from ancient times...</span><br />

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">After saying goodbye to half of the group Sunday morning, we stopped on the way back to Dublin at a place I really fell in love with. Murlough Bay<span style="color: #1c1e21;"><span style="background-color: white;"> is the name of this place, and it's also famous because of the GOT. We didn't stay there for long, but I for sure wish I could have stayed there for much longer! So beautiful!</span></span></span><br />

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">I'm not sure I will focus as much on photography in 2020, since I plan to keep up the sewing and quilting most of all. It takes a lot of time and effort to keep up with them all, so I think I need to narrow it down to less projects. We'll see, what happens happens :-)</span></div>

I've almost forgot how to make a blog post, but I hope to play catch up from now on :-) </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I've been knitting, sewing, photographing and hiking a lot so far this year. Lots of new projects, and some finishes too. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">A couple of my finished project this year:</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Table runner inspired by Lori Holt. The fabrics are also from Lori Holt's lines, and I just love this happy table runner. I quilted it on my longarm machine, and just some easy cross hatching. The batting is polyester. </span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Close up of the log cabin quilt. I finished this one during the summer, and I quilted it on my longarm machine using a panto I love.</span></div>

<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">This is the whole quilt, and I just love the scrappy log cabin! Almost all of the fabrics are from Lori Holt's fabric lines, also the light ones. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">My passion for photography did for sure get a boost when I attended a photo tour to Scotland back in April. I have never traveled much, and I was so scared of traveling alone but I did not have a choice if I really wanted to do this. The urge to get there and visit the lovely places was stronger than my fear of going alone. </span></div>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I've been looking at Istagram photos of the places I wanted to visit in Scotland for more than a year before I discovered Bernard Geraghty's profile and found his <a href="https://www.bglandscapetours.ie/Home/landscapeTours">website </a>for his tours. I booked the tour many months ahead, and I was super excited! </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I had the most amazing trip and the rest of the group was just awesome and the lovliest company. It was overwhelming and almost surreal to be there and so many fantastic memories. Scotland has for sure some amazing landscapes, and I really hope to go back there again one day. I'm so happy I got some lovely shots from the trip, with good help from our amazing tour guide, Bernard. Would highly recomend to sign up for a trip with him if you are interested in attending a photo tour.</span><br />

My urge to travel and do more photography is growing, and I signed up for another trip with Bernard Geraghty but this time to Ireland. I traveled to Northern Ireland with him and the rest of his awesome group back in September. But I'll tell you more about that adventure in a later post :-) </span></div>

<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Can't believe I haven't written a post on my blog since January! Time flies! I've been following my creative friends on Instagram and facebook, but I miss having the time to follow everyone in Blogland. Guess now the Autumn is here, and some of us will spend more time indoors than during the Summer, it will be easier to take the time to sit down in front of the computer/tablet and join the Blogland more often.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I have not been sewing as much as I did, but I have tried to not starting too many projects... Easier said than done... I couldn't resist buying the new book by Lori Holt, the Spelling Bee book. I just loved the blocks in this book, and perfect to customize your own quilts using the different ones. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">The quilt I fell in love with from her new book, is the Camera quilt. Since I've been very passionate about photography for a while, this is the perfect quilt for me :-) I've made a couple of blocks for it so far, but no photos this time. Will share photos later :-) This is <a href="http://beeinmybonnetco.blogspot.no/">Lori Holt's</a> quilt (did borrow the photo from her blog) and I love it! </span><br />

<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I've got the fabrics from her new line Bee Basics, and I just adore them <3 font="" nbsp=""></3></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Go check out her <a href="http://beeinmybonnetco.blogspot.no/">blog</a> to see what she is up to, lots of yummy and fun stuff :-)</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I started on the Picture Day quilt from the Spelling Bee book, since it's been so long since I made large blocks. These are 12" blocks, so the quilt grows pretty fast, and the blocks are so cute! I've made about 9 blocks so far, and these are some of them:</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I've been working on my photography skills the past months too, and still learning a lot! Been learning more about landscape photography, and the more I learn the more I realize I need to learn... But I'm trying to have fun, and the most important thing for me is to be a better photographer to learn how to capture moments and saving memories. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I have seen a lot of my quilting friends doing more photography too, and that's so cool! </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">These are a couple of my recent photos. One macro and one landscape. Better quality on these two than the shots of my quilty stuff in crappy lighting though ;-)</span><br />

<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I decided to use some of the 2,5" scraps from the fabrics I used for the "Sweetie Pie" blocks and turned them into a table runner. I used a fatquarter of the white with cherries on between the ones with happy colours. I love to do simple cross hatching on table runners using white Auriful cottong thread.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"> I've prepped two blocks and started sewing the pies to the background fabrics by hand. I love doing needleturn appliquè. Look forward to start making the center blocks in the next days, but I haven't made up my mind about using the solid fabrics or if I want to use the Sew Cherry2 fabrics. Guess I'll just make one block to see how it looks with the Sew Cherry2 fabrics before I make up my mind :)</span><br />

</div>
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"> I've been working on the blocks I need for my "Farm Girl Vintage" quilt for a while, but I've also been cutting, sewing and ironing a lot of "pie slices" for a new quilt designed by <a href="http://sweetie-pie-sew-along-week-one-pie.html/">Lori Holt</a>. The Sew Along for this quilt started today, but the pattern and details for the cutting was released a few days ago, so I had my slices finished and ready to make some "pies" tonight.</span><br />

<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">I am going to join <a href="http://beeinmybonnetco.blogspot.no/">Lori Holt's</a> sew along and make the "Sweetie Pie" quilt. The sew along is going to start January 16th. I've downloaded the pattern, and Lori shared the rest of the cutting instructions in her <a href="http://beeinmybonnetco.blogspot.no/2017/01/sweetie-pie-sew-along-bee-prepared-post.html">blogpost yesterday</a>, so today I got to start cutting into the fabrics that arrived the other day :o)</span></div>

<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"> This is how pies from 30 fatquarters looks like stacked side by side in color order. Love this line!</span><br />

<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"> Since I have never made a dresden plate (only made one half a long time ago...) I had to try to sew some of the pieces together, and just love how the happy colors pop next to each other! </span><br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">I hope to sew some of the plates/pies together in the next days, and really hope I can follow this sew along without falling out...again... My "Bloom quilt" still needs to be done, only one more block to do the needleturn appliquè on and it's ready to be pieced in rows and sewn together.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Such a long time since I made my previous blog post! I have been sewing a little bit again, so finally have something to share. I've been making a few things for Christmas, and I can finally share them over here. I made two pairs of pot holders for a couple of future-in-laws for two of the boys. Used my favorite Art To Heart book with these cute snowmen "Easy does it for Christmas". I've also used some of the fabrics from the lines by Nancy Halvorsen. </span><br />

<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Haven't got a nice photo of the Christmas quilt yet, since it's on the floor with the borders floating around the main part of the top. Layout time... but will share a photo of it when I get it pieced together. That must happen soon, before the quilt inspectors start using it as a place to sleep :o)</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I've been playing catch up on some of the blocks I started long ago. These Churn Dash blocks are so fun and happy! The pattern is from <a href="http://beeinmybonnetco.blogspot.no/">Lori Holt's</a> "Farm Girl Vintage" book, and my plan is to make a happy table runner when the pile of blocks is large enough.</span><br />

<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I've been sewing a lot this weekend, and I'm so happy to be back in my sewing room after a long break! Got so many UFO's to finish, but when I got my copy of the <a href="http://beeinmybonnetco.blogspot.no/2016/07/new-scrappy-project-planner-and.html">Scrappy Project Planner by Lori Holt</a> last week I just decided to start a new quilt called "Fatquarter Flirt Quilt". The pattern is in the Scrappy Project planner, and I cut all the pieces for the quilt on Friday so I could just focus on sewing this weekend ;-)</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigh_9aRIEfAswJB0TEtDR33PxCBCZrjQZJNHbeG3IcLXXy74MVFK7opMKWTzKoERMHJiHdIJjIx5AOmgRurbdu9iNUiP87PfdH7hAOqzMQWwdvIeJvXe5BLkn2EKhtoPcFEDgzoju5lcw/s1600/LRM_EXPORT_20161031_112107.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigh_9aRIEfAswJB0TEtDR33PxCBCZrjQZJNHbeG3IcLXXy74MVFK7opMKWTzKoERMHJiHdIJjIx5AOmgRurbdu9iNUiP87PfdH7hAOqzMQWwdvIeJvXe5BLkn2EKhtoPcFEDgzoju5lcw/s320/LRM_EXPORT_20161031_112107.jpg" width="320" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"> I have almost three rows finished for the quilt, and I love how it turns out! I'm making two blocks at a time, and the quilt grows pretty fast :o) This is great for some serious stashbusting, and I think I've cut about 30 fatquarters for this quilt and throwing in some scraps it will look so great!</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-lF7GMfocJbLjnvaMGW0FmaPYKyW3W62XeXnSk6GXZfm2nJCqXcBOyFUzSweQ5Z8qeT3Yu93gDw7-g8VjujYVpNh1ptMLnFde9R-2a-_zIX1ZjQFvXtgRfGm3nya5X4sHFrpHIwZGa0I/s1600/LRM_EXPORT_20161031_111945.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-lF7GMfocJbLjnvaMGW0FmaPYKyW3W62XeXnSk6GXZfm2nJCqXcBOyFUzSweQ5Z8qeT3Yu93gDw7-g8VjujYVpNh1ptMLnFde9R-2a-_zIX1ZjQFvXtgRfGm3nya5X4sHFrpHIwZGa0I/s640/LRM_EXPORT_20161031_111945.jpg" width="480" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"> Can't wait to join the rows and quilt this one! I will use a panto pattern for it, but haven't decided which one yet.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhRH5z00YWT_qsirJ5omY-sle7wifAqzuffRPovsgrAIQu2k9XiVuRGROshpLIV7wQdiRcmtVSfsXUha-Jh1acFr8H4ClNDd-ozR7TlQ4tQZnchUPg54mRugQLleYBhTYnspxHGGvoAbtQ/s1600/LRM_EXPORT_20161031_111501.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhRH5z00YWT_qsirJ5omY-sle7wifAqzuffRPovsgrAIQu2k9XiVuRGROshpLIV7wQdiRcmtVSfsXUha-Jh1acFr8H4ClNDd-ozR7TlQ4tQZnchUPg54mRugQLleYBhTYnspxHGGvoAbtQ/s320/LRM_EXPORT_20161031_111501.jpg" width="320" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"> I have been focusing on hiking as often as possible and always have my camera with me. The Autumn is my favorite season, just lover the colors and frosty mornings. I also love how the sunrises looks at this time of the year, so lovely colors!</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">This is my view from a few days ago. Just before the sun comes up behind the hill. Just awesome!</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj3Apy-BfYWhbRz2cKJZBbXTkzqd40fLbY8LqICnnq6jReGgJV-fqHbw7SueWT97iX6Zwug7OJUR1Co4clNVUZF0mMZxb6LX10PTvolWUDZY2AqaA5sa73xlR1mD2C3mQOKEfffe7j8y0s/s1600/LRM_EXPORT_20161031_113219.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj3Apy-BfYWhbRz2cKJZBbXTkzqd40fLbY8LqICnnq6jReGgJV-fqHbw7SueWT97iX6Zwug7OJUR1Co4clNVUZF0mMZxb6LX10PTvolWUDZY2AqaA5sa73xlR1mD2C3mQOKEfffe7j8y0s/s400/LRM_EXPORT_20161031_113219.jpg" width="400" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I'm hoping to be spending more time sewing from now on, and since the energy slowly comes back after feeling like a train wreck for a year I hope to be back to a normal and do more creative stuff during the long winter ahead. Have a lot of plans, and making a few Christmas gifts are one of them. I hope to at least be able to make a few, so keeping my fingers crossed this will be a productive winter :-)</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Happy sewing!</span><br />

<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Today was a perfect day for some sewing. It's been a rainy day over here, and that means perfect sewing weather :-)</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I have been cutting pieces from the new fabrics I got some days ago. It's the new Christmas line designed by <a href="http://beeinmybonnetco.blogspot.no/">Lori Holt</a>. I have planned to make a Christmas quilt called "Have yourself a quilty little Christmas" since I did see the quilt at Lori Holt's Instagram back in November. I totally fell in love with this quilt, and so happy I got my fatquarter bundle of Cozy Christmas, just in time for the Summer Holidays! </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjj7PH4karqthS0TD9mZpNhGmZmxXlarnPKOl0MF9gYzfbXqWoqd7S6bR7-yC60TkqoXsiE_nY-pcPQRvZHOAOKat-7ZbvT8eJtaHViwC_QW3SdOH8hd_l4mPbgZI7V79R5Ng4Wwe-cojg/s1600/P1080657.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjj7PH4karqthS0TD9mZpNhGmZmxXlarnPKOl0MF9gYzfbXqWoqd7S6bR7-yC60TkqoXsiE_nY-pcPQRvZHOAOKat-7ZbvT8eJtaHViwC_QW3SdOH8hd_l4mPbgZI7V79R5Ng4Wwe-cojg/s400/P1080657.jpg" width="400" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"> Early today I had these blocks already pieced:</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFxTFMXjRK5R_uUiq0LbyqYcebPhIIh0KaPLf9Y1rXWqch0UrjhzVJQZ6WGPr-FPD2u37ZGzcdNkOaU-_cvlA9KZ1EJWJGnODeYzoWRH45N_fC-2CteZwhhfIG702ZWTEThWBxnxGL2yk/s1600/P1080662.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFxTFMXjRK5R_uUiq0LbyqYcebPhIIh0KaPLf9Y1rXWqch0UrjhzVJQZ6WGPr-FPD2u37ZGzcdNkOaU-_cvlA9KZ1EJWJGnODeYzoWRH45N_fC-2CteZwhhfIG702ZWTEThWBxnxGL2yk/s400/P1080662.jpg" width="400" /></span></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Then I made a cute Haystack block and the Candle block, and pieced them together with the Spools block. Just love how it looks so far!</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWGaOlMAe9m33doQL_Fd4ulvjsXJKsdoHSc36hb5IaO5QCHz1GkcED27iGGlzZsU4MJlI_VgIAfdTykLsTC82nHspB5VxkcVivE70QOaDfpC9sOJFZhEPfWXBxd5jkmWpk6iLGoUTxK8o/s1600/P1080676.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWGaOlMAe9m33doQL_Fd4ulvjsXJKsdoHSc36hb5IaO5QCHz1GkcED27iGGlzZsU4MJlI_VgIAfdTykLsTC82nHspB5VxkcVivE70QOaDfpC9sOJFZhEPfWXBxd5jkmWpk6iLGoUTxK8o/s320/P1080676.jpg" width="320" /></span></a></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This will be such a happy Christmas quilt when it's finished, and I cross my fingers I will be able to do some quilting on my longarm machine by the time it's finished. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">If you would like to see more blocks and the whole quilt you can go to Instagram and use the hashtag #haveyourselfaquiltylittlechristmas </span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I've been making some blocks for the Great Granny Quilt during the last two weeks also, but will share photos of them in my next post:-)</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Getting back to sewing turned out to take a longer period of time than I ever could imagine. Yet another set back with my illness issues makes me tired and no energy at all. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Starting on new medicines will hopefully make everything better and hopefully back to normal again in a couple of months. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Yesterday and today I have been doing a little bit of scrap busting, and I have pieced some new Haystack blocks and a few 9 patch blocks using the lovely scraps I've been saving for more than a year now. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgF7-hlfag3Oi0K4AWbJpdujkWRzwjMP9p6NSuRzLqPLGPoIqFiQv5GilZ3w6V0hRHXV8Pp9h1MBAcnolDxeRg7Y3jx8-k29lR7t6B0I4j26WmR2-fvncfH93s2ZDSyCAlvKmUio5FqMNs/s1600/LrMobile2006-2016-0345718699936815543.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgF7-hlfag3Oi0K4AWbJpdujkWRzwjMP9p6NSuRzLqPLGPoIqFiQv5GilZ3w6V0hRHXV8Pp9h1MBAcnolDxeRg7Y3jx8-k29lR7t6B0I4j26WmR2-fvncfH93s2ZDSyCAlvKmUio5FqMNs/s400/LrMobile2006-2016-0345718699936815543.jpeg" width="400" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Lots of these where already precut, so it was nice to just sit down and piece them together. I love to do some mindless sewing with happy colours these days, it makes me happy :o) </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_qkvayZQKlNEYLgPMsFTg31y5OL9FGSdYAOmk7AwO4gCUShD6sp7W96s6DM-zxi_PVf-UGwH4TrrtCgiS85WHi2F8Pcwu7nPQBJDf3DiG8SF-cw_SI32y0XJMS4EeCJHoy4qDci8f6kI/s1600/LrMobile2006-2016-0344718579397679652.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_qkvayZQKlNEYLgPMsFTg31y5OL9FGSdYAOmk7AwO4gCUShD6sp7W96s6DM-zxi_PVf-UGwH4TrrtCgiS85WHi2F8Pcwu7nPQBJDf3DiG8SF-cw_SI32y0XJMS4EeCJHoy4qDci8f6kI/s400/LrMobile2006-2016-0344718579397679652.jpeg" width="400" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I have no plan for these 9 patch blocks yet, but I just love how they turned out, and will make something cute with them in the end. </span></div>

<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I really look forward to go hiking a lot again as soon as my energy level is back and my body is working better. My doctor says I have to take it slow for a while, but one step at a time I will get back to where I used to be :o)</span></div>

A little bit of editing in Lightroom is fun too, and I think I will contine trying to learn more about editing now that I figured out this much. I have been sewing a little bit today. A rainy day here in Trondheim, so it's the perfect weather for staying indoors playing with some happy colours. I have done a little progress on the Haystack blocks I have in the making, and soon I have enough blocks for a table runner.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEja-7x3v8oJolANBWu_spQklQHVdXFVpX-nU6SpkD_JKzNTe5f209dm_4dI3MGTzoIwsrvPODV_PUN3USOJfUlV6TQAYsiC2dlaIHJoXFQHAqeHaswn8b7imkOS1OX3MQb81VWQpKEPWkI/s1600/LrMobile0806-2016-0148667942077103942.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEja-7x3v8oJolANBWu_spQklQHVdXFVpX-nU6SpkD_JKzNTe5f209dm_4dI3MGTzoIwsrvPODV_PUN3USOJfUlV6TQAYsiC2dlaIHJoXFQHAqeHaswn8b7imkOS1OX3MQb81VWQpKEPWkI/s400/LrMobile0806-2016-0148667942077103942.jpeg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
I've also quilted backwards a bit today. I decided to rip out the swirls I quilted on this cute table runner. They just didn't appeal to me, so I will rather do some cross hatching instead. Love these cute Mama blocks, and will for sure make some the Granny square blocks using these fabrics too.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Nano has also enjoyed some quiet time in the sewing room with me today. Poor furball has been away for 4 days, and she was deeply missed! I have no clue where she's been, even if I have been looking all over for her. So glad she came back home!!!<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I have been mostly knitting, and I have started a new project using the Tumi yarn from Rauma Garn. Just love this yarn, so great to knit with! </div>

Haven't been much out shooting photos for a while, but I hope the weather will be better soon. I miss my short hikes with Hubby, so I hope we'll go again later this week when the weather will be better.</div>

<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">I can't describe how happy I am to be back in Blog land again, and to be back in my sewing room enjoying some sewing! The doctors figured out that I have COPD(kols) and emphysema, and I'm still waiting for the results for the other tests they did when I was on the hospital a little while ago to see if there is an inflammation on top of that :-( That's a really slap in the face, but I am so glad the inhalators I use helps me at least breathe well enough to go hiking again. Not being able to walk the stairs up to my sewing room without feeling like I've been running was no fun...</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">I also had a set back with the autoimmune illness, so I had to go back to high doses of cortizone again. The side effects have made me very home bound, but I hope to be able to go out more and meet up with friends and go to the quilt guild meetings again. I'm not able to go back to work again, so I just try to do the things that make me happy, and to do what I can to keep my mood up even if some days are crappy.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">I have been knitting a lot the last months, but I have also been playing a lot with photography. It's been a while since I was using my digital camera, but I recently bought a mirrorless camera (Panasonic lumix GX8) which is a smaller camera than my Nikon d3000.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">I have lots to learn about it, but it has more stabilization (both in camera and lens) so even if my hands are shaky I can still get sharp photos :-)</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">I'm also trying to learn editing photos in Lightroom, even if my teflon brain is not so fast working. LOL!</span><br />

<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">When I started quilting back in 2004 I didn't know anything about longarm quilting. I attended a class where I learned freemotion quilting on my domestic sewing machine, and started following a talented lady, Sharon Schamber, who did some gorgeous gorgeous quilting with feathers and other motifs on quilts using a sewing machine. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Later I started following several blogs by quilters, and fell in love with some gorgeous quilting they did using a longarm machine. From that moment on I knew this was "my thing". </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">I started dreaming about a longarm machine, and I bought my <a href="http://litamora.blogspot.no/2011/10/dreams-come-true-if-you-let-them.html">"Miss Monster", an Innova longarm, in October 2011</a>.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Since I bought the longarm I have had lots of fun learning how to quilt on it from books, tutorials on blogs and YouTube. But I have some amazing longarm friends that shared tips and tricks too, and they have encouraged me and given me honest opinions that I needed the most. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">I planned to quilt for others, and maybe make a living of it if I did a good job and people liked what I did. I have quilted some quilts for others, and I was thrilled when they gave me so much positive feedback and was satisfied with my job. But... because of health issues this isn't an option for me anymore, which makes me really sad. To be able to practice I quilt for friends now and then, and it also helps me to "keep the moves" in my hands. Quilting is for sure the best therapy, and being able to do something you love and get a little bit better one step at a time makes my heart sing :o)</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">I have quilted two table runners made by Sølvi during the last week. Yesterday I finished #2. Sølvi did some beautiful needleturn appliquè on them both!</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">When I quilt white on white, I love to do it in daylight and turn off the lights in the sewing room. So much easier to see where to quilt, and the texture shows so much better! </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">I really love to do McTavishing on quilts like this. It makes the appliquèd pieces pop and show off :o)</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Both of the quilts are made from a pattern called "Hope Blooms" designed by </span><a href="http://brendariddle.blogspot.no/" style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Brenda Riddle</a>.<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"> My local quilt shop, <a href="https://www.facebook.com/Quilteg%C3%A5rden-as-130029110391548/?fref=ts">Quiltegården</a>, are going to have both quilts on display in their booth on the Annual Quilt Guild meeting here in Trondheim in March, and you can get the pattern and kits to make them if you give them a call or visit their booth on the annual quilt guild meeting. You can also find <a href="https://www.facebook.com/Quilteg%C3%A5rden-as-130029110391548/?fref=ts">Quiltegården</a> on Facebook and ask for pattern and kits there.</span></span><br />

<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">I am an amateur when it comes to photography, but I love taking photos and still learning how to take good ones of quilted stuff. I really like the tiny details, and I also study the photos to learn from them and try to remember what looks best in the end and be able to improve and do it even better on the next quilt.</span><br />

<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">I have been doing a little bit of knitting, sewing and longarm quilting lately even if I had a big set-back with my health issues the last two weeks. A really nasty cold to top it off is not what I needed right now, but that's just how it goes... I'm just so glad I have my hobbies to keep me occupied :-)</span></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Earlier this month I finished a pair of Blueberry waffle socks and a Strippy Charm pouch for my niece's birthday. I just love the soft blue colors in these socks!</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnCfALJzsne1dw1F7jcWcPW5XyXZutxcgng9GH6mgT0Clz0VRbx0PvY05GNS147Dl5v18neF2UfBI6gXqcfj4WMYQBnvikFArS-wha44LuQCxwgfSqxWhwUjOd_l6lylCK94MH2D0iTdk/s1600/20160213_121310.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="display: inline !important; margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnCfALJzsne1dw1F7jcWcPW5XyXZutxcgng9GH6mgT0Clz0VRbx0PvY05GNS147Dl5v18neF2UfBI6gXqcfj4WMYQBnvikFArS-wha44LuQCxwgfSqxWhwUjOd_l6lylCK94MH2D0iTdk/s400/20160213_121310.jpg" width="225" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Another pair of Blueberry waffle socks are almost done, and I like the new sock yarn I used for these. It's called Alpakka strømpegarn (alpaca sock yarn) by Sandnesgarn. Super soft and lovely to knit with!</span></div>

<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span><br />
<span style="font-family: 'helvetica neue', arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">A while ago I ordered a cute pattern from Lori Holt's Etsy shop called </span><a href="https://www.etsy.com/no-en/listing/263585921/modern-mugs?ref=shop_home_active_4" style="font-family: 'helvetica neue', arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">"Modern Mugs"</a><span style="font-family: 'helvetica neue', arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">. I have made a few of the blocks using the Modern minis panel fabrics, and I love the cute sayings on them. I am making this quilt for my little kitchen corner, and hope to finish it up soon.</span><br />

<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">This weekend I finished a cute block Lori Holt made a Instagram tutorial for, and I think it's just super cute! I have only made the 6" block, but will make the 12" block later too. The larger one is perfect for a pillow cover, and when you love Instagram as much as I do I need to make one, don't you think?</span><br />

<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">I have been cutting and piecing a few blocks for a new table runner using my happy colored fabrics too, and I hope to get the top done soon so I can load it on the longarm frame and get it quilted. I found a tutorial on Lori Holt's blog for a <a href="http://beeinmybonnetco.blogspot.no/2014/06/scrappy-summer-sew-along-sweet-and.html">scrappy happy table runner</a>, and just made the blocks a bit larger than the one in the tutorial. </span></div>

<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">I have been longarm quilting several small projects on the same backing, and one of the quilts I have finished is a made by a friend of mine. It's a table runner/wall hanging made by Sølvi. I quilted around every appliquèd piece and added some McTavishing to the background fabric. So happy she like it, and I had so much fun finishing this one! </span></div>

<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">I had to set up my old Bernina sewing machine this weekend, since my new Bernina 710 decided to shut down... I guess the CPU will have to be replaced, and I keep my fingers crossed it won't be long till I have it back working. I bought it last summer, so I'm not too happy to send it back so soon for a repair... But hopefully it will be working fine for many years when it comes back from the sewing machine doctor!</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Wish you all a great new and creative week!</span><br />

<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Have been working on my blocks for the Bloom quilt this evening, and will try to finish one row before I hit the bed tonight. Only two blocks left before I can piece the blocks together. </span><br />

<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue" , "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Today it wasn't snowing, and I just had to try capturing some photos outdoors. The light was spectacular, and I wish I had better skills in photography than I have but still learning ;o)</span><br />

<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Woke up early to go to the doctor's office today to take some new blood tests. It had been snowing so much during the night and it still was, so I figured I should delay it till tomorrow. I wouldn't been able to drive more than a couple of yards and get stuck in the snow... </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"> I'm so glad my parents live nearby and that my father has a tractor and can help me to get rid of the snow in our parking space, which is way too much work for me. We have a snowblower, but I am not getting near that thing.... Hubby, who is out of town working, can play with that one :-) Too heavy for me.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">But bad weather means great sewing weather, so I spent some time in my sewing room after shoveling a lot of snow first.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I cut a few gorgeous fabrics for a new Strippy Charm pouch. I wanted to make a project I could finish, and this is my first finish this year. Yay! </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">It turned out so great, and I love the fabrics by <a href="http://www.ellisandhiggs.com/">Nadra Ridgeway</a> called Bloom and Bliss. Now I am waiting for her new line, and look forward till it hits the quilt shops later this year :-)</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">You can find the pattern for the Strippy Charm pouch at <a href="http://www.modabakeshop.com/2011/04/strippy-charm-pouch.html">Moda Bake shop</a>. It's one of my favorite patterns for small purses, and I have made many of them in different sizes. </span><br />

<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I have been sick with a nasty cold bug for more than a week, so there's been slow progress on my quilty projects. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Tonight I finished piecing the sashing around the Block #1 for the Bloom quilt designed by Lori Holt. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFwJ96Ti0__3peB-N7xEcExjwTYarnGAxxQIZUys_nVV-St27pprl_k7cv11kHxfdJT0imeFBU2Jtu4wwAp_t3UvL3y9XuZgupOGGdKTujjFY8i-b3-Y5ilNBtocPrxzo9emegn1wRKMk/s1600/2016-01-19.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFwJ96Ti0__3peB-N7xEcExjwTYarnGAxxQIZUys_nVV-St27pprl_k7cv11kHxfdJT0imeFBU2Jtu4wwAp_t3UvL3y9XuZgupOGGdKTujjFY8i-b3-Y5ilNBtocPrxzo9emegn1wRKMk/s400/2016-01-19.jpg" width="400" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The Sew Along for the bloom quilt started yesterday, and you can read about it over at Lori's blog <a href="http://beeinmybonnetco.blogspot.no/2016/01/bloom-sew-along-week-one-block-one.html">Bee In My Bonnet</a>. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This weekend I made a small table runner. Still not sure if I will enlarge it with a few more blocks. These blocks are the Mama blocks from one of the patterns in Lori Holt's book "Great Granny Squared" and I got to use up a lots of precut squares. I really LOVE the scrappy look :o) Been wanting to make these blocks for a while, and they were so fast and fun to make :-)</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"> I have also finished the layout for my Low volume Plus Quilt. </span><br />

<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Winter came back to Trondheim, and it has been snowing really bad since last night. I don't mind the snow, I actually like it since it looks more clean and lighter. I don't like to drive my car when it's this much snow though... But the roads are shoveled now, and I hope it will stop snowing now.</span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiYomhA2LlpfXTzjcwcsmgkk51xaHZ5GitIJT3LvRcubPi4Cili-WMYaBkx_p7Pw_ESHriWCFUJV2wPC6abZwTYgloXMPMrUjQ7SbJDfBKaUK_6pzpOrtZlpQLEgJBFZMOxmb4pWCPGFlE/s1600/2016-01-13.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="color: black; font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="221" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiYomhA2LlpfXTzjcwcsmgkk51xaHZ5GitIJT3LvRcubPi4Cili-WMYaBkx_p7Pw_ESHriWCFUJV2wPC6abZwTYgloXMPMrUjQ7SbJDfBKaUK_6pzpOrtZlpQLEgJBFZMOxmb4pWCPGFlE/s320/2016-01-13.jpg" width="320" /></span></a></div>
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"> These are fabrics I bought from <a href="http://www.donnaslavendernest.com/">Donna's Lavender Nest</a>. These are treasures I look forward to use in my next projects. Donna have a blog too which is also called <a href="http://donnaslavendernest.blogspot.no/">Donna's Lavender Nest</a>, where she shares photos of her quilts and longarm quilting. Love her vintage style :o)</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Today has been "one of those days" with not much sleep during the night, and the cold bug is still stuck, so not much is happening. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">But I got to do some fabric sorting and a little bit of cutting. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I am using plastic trays to spread my pieces as I cut them, and today I did some reorganizing and cut some colors that were missing. Earlier I just left them all in one big pile, but that didn't work since I couldn't see all the variations of the fabrics. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This is my 2" squares. I can easily see I must cut more green, orange and yellow fabrics ;o)</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Having them piled up like this makes it easy to see the different fabrics and colors.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">My 2,5" squares. Looks like candy to me :-)</span><br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I also have a tray with my 1,5" squares, but they will be laying in one big pile for now ;o)</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"> It hasn't been much snow this Winter, and the last week has been cold and windy. It looks more like Spring outside than Winter, except from the cold. I hope it will soon be less wind so I can go for a walk more often again. I'm already longing for Spring and look forward to see the sun again soon. It's not long before the sun rays will shine through the windows again... Soon :o)</span><br />

<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">Today has not been a very productive day, since Hubby's "manflu" got to me yesterday, and I don't feel so good. I didn't think that sort of cold bug was contagious, but it was... LOL! Hihi :o)</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">I finished one more block for my Farm Girl Vintage quilt, and I love how it turned out. Can't get enough of these happy colors, and hope to make progress on this quilt between the other projects too. </span><br />

<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">I'm so excited to sew these gorgeous blocks, and I hope we'll have lots of fun.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">As I told you in my earlier post this is a sew along with no rules, just for fun!</span><br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">I have decided to start with the table runner and use my 2" strips and use up a few scrap pieces for the plus'es, but don't have any pattern to follow, just figured out the measurements myself. These are the pieces you will have to cut:</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">Plus fabric: </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">2- 2" x 2" </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">1- 2" x 5"</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">Background fabric:</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">2- 2" x 2" </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">4- 2" x 3,5"</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">1- 2" x 8" (You will need a few extra to set on both sides of the plus block on some)</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">I have asked Stina about permission to use her drawings for the tutorials she has posted on her blog, and this is two of the blocks she has a tutorial for:</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">The first one is for 1,5" strips:</span><br />

<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">Anyone up for a little Low volume Plus Quilt Sew Along? </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">I am going to have a Sew Along with Elin and Kathy, and we plan to start on Friday January 8th. We are just doing this for fun, so we will share our progress on our blogs, Instagram (Using <span style="background-color: lime; color: red;">#plusquiltsewalong2016</span>) </span><span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">and Facebook. We are not organizing any group or events, just sewing together while we are making our Low volume Plus quilt. And if you want to join us, let me know and I can make a blog list on my blog where we can follow each other's progress.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">There is a lot of gorgeous Plus quilts around here in Blogland, and on Pinterest, Instagram and Facebook, just search on GoogleInstagram and have a look. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">On a <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgNwzgBhhfUIyp-akdp_ux-myIIXCOK3IDEMvJ3ma3boCmbH5QVLIdDbI8LsaTsdcvMPeKg1-AkY-K_euIgGxBO5hgqlJ5O6QJrWIqs2-3tjb7P6ETsPBZiZkxyMqU4sVlGZHaq_HARZA8/s1600/M%25C3%25B8te+0411156.jpg">quilt meeting in November</a> (click on the link and scroll down a bit) last year I fell in love with a gorgeous low volume table runner and quilt, made by Unni,a lady in my local quilt guild. And since then I have looked for low volume fabrics and patterns. On Christmas Eve I got a bundle of yummy fabrics from <a href="http://www.northernquilts.no/index.php?main_page=index">Northern Quilts</a> to start with and added some from my stash. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">I made a few test blocks in different sizes. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">The first ones are made from 2" strips and the block will be perfect for the table runner I am planning to make:</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">The next blocks are made from 2,5" strips and will be perfect size for a larger quilt:</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiycedcvTZUwLwq36b5RFO0BTf4m53MoxfS5sYB8KVz8EuCmc5xJgNT3jS2m9vxE-GGPPi9Ct_APxhvO3JLZ1pl0b649abjY4FZrBEX3tf0v6865FRdBJDGbcEvo5N6lbnaNXlx9F1mfFY/s1600/QUITING+20161.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiycedcvTZUwLwq36b5RFO0BTf4m53MoxfS5sYB8KVz8EuCmc5xJgNT3jS2m9vxE-GGPPi9Ct_APxhvO3JLZ1pl0b649abjY4FZrBEX3tf0v6865FRdBJDGbcEvo5N6lbnaNXlx9F1mfFY/s400/QUITING+20161.jpg" width="400" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">I don't use only what is catergorized as LOW VOLUME fabric, but throw in a few more modern ones and some dots as well. I like how they look so far, and now I will patiently wait for the other ladies to start. Hope some of you will join us, just to have a little fun together, and share some inspiration :o)</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">You can see a lot of gorgeous low volume quilts over here at <a href="http://www.redpepperquilts.com/search/label/low%20volume">Red Pepper Quilts</a> and <a href="http://kviltstina.com/2015/11/tutorial-mini-plus-friends-quilt/">Kviltstina</a> has a tutorial on a Mini Plus quilt.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>

<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">Yesterday I got some more background fabric for my Bloom Quilt, and today I prepped 4 more blocks and will enjoy some needleturn appliqè tonight. This is a quilt made by Lori Holt/<a href="http://beeinmybonnetco.blogspot.no/">Bee In My Bonnet</a> and she will be hosting a Sew Along with this gorgeous quilt using her new fabric line Calico Days. <span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">I guess you know by now I have a crush on Lori Holt's fabrics and patterns, but there's just something about these happy colors! <span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">Also added a few more blocks to one of my Leader & Ender projects, and soon I will make a few blocks to see how they turn out. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">I'm still struggling with fatigue and have trouble sleeping normal, so I need a power nap or two during the day. I guess patience is still needed to get back to normal and get well. I am still doing the blood tests, and will go back to Hospital to adjust the medicine I am on as soon as the Holidays are over. Fingers crossed I will be back to normal, so I have the energy to do what I want to. I miss visiting friends and hiking with Hubby and my family. Look forward to take my camera for a walk outdoors and take some photos again too.</span><br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi8U85Ce7Bxif_RzJRUilNVDLoVjTFIgL1DpPYgtLeWoIdu_aEbix23qEtgP2tgHEs4LAiu6SIEgshX88RgPFRDpSpzh3m3pobVQ_TT6O0QXD0cQ06q4nZQKHzjqckE4a6UysZXo0UizDE/s1600/2015-05-11.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="276" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi8U85Ce7Bxif_RzJRUilNVDLoVjTFIgL1DpPYgtLeWoIdu_aEbix23qEtgP2tgHEs4LAiu6SIEgshX88RgPFRDpSpzh3m3pobVQ_TT6O0QXD0cQ06q4nZQKHzjqckE4a6UysZXo0UizDE/s400/2015-05-11.jpg" width="400" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">I started and finished most of these in 2015, and that is a bit unusual for me who is the Queen of UFO's ;o) Guess it paid off to make smaller projects that was easy to finish. </span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">I look forward to be sewing, quilting and knitting a lot more than the last months again, and hope to finish some of my UFO's too. </span></div>

One of them is a table runner I made using the Haystack blocks I have been making as a leader & ender project for a while. The pattern for this block are from the Farm Girl Vintage book by <a href="http://beeinmybonnetco.blogspot.no/">Lori Holt</a>. I quilted it with white Aurifil thread, just some simple cross hatching. My mom got this as a Christmas present, and I'm so glad she liked it :-) </span><br />

<br />
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">I have seen a lot of cute pin cushions both on Instagram and Pinterest, and yesterday I made one using my Modern minis scraps. The 1,5" scrappy squares makes the cutest little pieces to use for a small project like this :o)</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjuO5NshRtuetvRXPANwFWNhXv78f7XCCEPFWaUMNN5BZj4m1xAqhusG3sJ4bsniStI_k7MdWDKIwuMai9yHo_SFYJhBlMazLt2vf7l9wV6fLE3iOzYmFi6VvNuGzhl6oN66VzhTHVeVC8/s1600/2015-12-292.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="276" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjuO5NshRtuetvRXPANwFWNhXv78f7XCCEPFWaUMNN5BZj4m1xAqhusG3sJ4bsniStI_k7MdWDKIwuMai9yHo_SFYJhBlMazLt2vf7l9wV6fLE3iOzYmFi6VvNuGzhl6oN66VzhTHVeVC8/s400/2015-12-292.jpg" width="400" /></span></a></div>
<br />
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">The past days I have been playing with some new fabrics I couldn't resist buying... The new line by <a href="http://beeinmybonnetco.blogspot.no/">Lori Holt</a> "Calico Days". There is a free pattern for a quilt designed by Lori using these fabrics called "Bloom Quilt", and I have been busy cutting the pieces and started to make some of the blocks. Just love how it looks so far, and since I'm out of background fabric, I will continue to cut the rest of the pieces and have them ready till it arrives. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">I am using the white with print from the "Modern Minis" line, since I like it a lot! </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">I didn't have the pellon Lori uses for these flowers, so I am using my favorite technique needleturn appliquè. The templates designed by Lori Holt, Sew Simple Shapes, that is needed for making this quilt is perfect for needleturn too :o) </span><br />

<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><a href="http://beeinmybonnetco.blogspot.no/">Lori Holt</a> will have a Sew Along for the "Bloom Quilt" in January, so if you are curious about it and plan to join just pop over to her blog and read about it :o)</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">Only two more days are left before we welcome a New Year. It's been a busy year, and also a few tough times for me. I hope the new year will be a great year with lots of creativity, less health issues and lots of positive happenings. I also hope to be able to be playing with my longarm quilting machine again soon. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
